Mercury is a Flash application that builds rich, SCORM-compliant eLearning from simple XML instructions. Everything about the eLearning can be defined quickly and easily, including the resource’s language(s), navigation layout, number of pages, content structure, sessions, activities, assessments, videos, photos, audio, animations and text.

Eliminate the need to sign-off content before developing your eLearning. With Mercury, content is all stored externally so that you can change whatever you want, whenever you want, quickly and easily.

Every component comes with a host of settings that allow for lots of different styles and behaviours, so whatever your content you can be sure that it is delivered to your learners in the most relevant and effective way.

Mercury is ideal both for organisations who wish to take their eLearning in-house to cut costs, and for eLearning development studios who want to streamline their course development and maximise efficiency.

For more information and an example demo of the software, please head over to http://www.madewithmercury.com.

The brief was to develop a sports-themed game that featured their two food-based characters (Brocky and Peggy) which would promote healthy eating and an active lifestyle.

The result is Active Ashfield’s Conversion Challenge, a game that tasks the user with scoring as many conversions as they can within the two minute time limit. It’s not quite as easy as it sounds though, as you have to factor dynamic wind (both in terms of direction and speed) and variable kicking power into your aiming!

To play the game or for more information on it, head over to the game’s page in the Projects section.

Tip: for the best chance of scoring, aim high and time your kick carefully!
